The UK’s favourite Italian chef, Gino D’Acampo is familiar face through his many TV appearances and best-selling books.
A Neapolitan, Gino entered the Luigi di Medici Catering College at the age of 15, going on to work in restaurants across Europe before settling in England, where he took on Head Chef assignments before forming his own food company, Bontà Italia.
His TV career began with Good Food Live and BBC’s Saturday Kitchen and his instant popularity ensured that he quickly became a regular presence on Ready, Steady, Cook, Daily Cooks Challenge and Saturday Cooks. His own series followed, including An Italian In Mexico and Chef vs. Britain, before he went on to join the ITV flagship programme, This Morning. And viewers took him to their hearts, voting him King Of The Jungle by a huge margin in I’m A Celebrity – Get Me Out Of Here.
Gino has continued to attract new admirers - his combined social media following now tops 2 million - through his TV appearances and his hugely popular programmes: Let's Do Lunch with Gino and Mel has reached its fifth series and his primetime series, Gino's Italian Escape, has proved a major success for ITV.
He has recently fulfilled his ambition to provide a real Italian food offering on the high street with the opening of My Pasta Bar in London and is excited by plans to expand the concept nationwide.
Gino is also a successful cookbook author, his best-selling titles including Fantastico!, The Italian Diet, Gino’s Pasta and Gino's Italian Escape.
